Short bio

Sylviane Granger is an Emerita Professor of English Language and Linguistics at the Université Catholique de Louvain. She is the President of the Learner Corpus Association and the founder of the Centre for English Corpus Linguistics (CECL), of which she was Director for over 25 years. She is one of the pioneers of learner corpus research and has also been very active in corpus-based cross-linguistic studies, two fields which she views as closely interrelated. Her current research interests focus on the analysis of phraseology in native and learner language and its integration into electronic writing aids and bilingual dictionaries.
