MA in Philology from the FU Berlin in 1985. PhD at the University of Valencia in 1999. Research stays at TU and FU Berlin. at University of Bielefeld and since 1990 at the Heinrich-Böll-Archiv Köln. Since 1989 teaching in the area of secondary level (EOI's) as well as at tertiary level at different Spanish and German universities in graduate and postgraduate areas. Currently working as an Associate Professor in the Department of Translation and Interpreting of the University of Málaga. Combines multidisciplinary teaching and translation and professional interpretation. Author and editor of bilingual editions, publications in conferences and journals of national and international level. Involved in campaigns of sensitisation, and is curator of exhibitions and performances focused on the intercultural perspectives of German language, history and culture.
