Senior Lecturer (with tenure) at the Department of Didactics of Languages, Arts, and Sports at the University of Málaga. BA in Translation and Interpreting (Spanish-English, Italian, and French) (2003), PhD in Translation and Interpreting with high honours and European mention (2005) at the University of Málaga, and Master in Terminology (2012) at the Universitat Pompeu Fabra of Barcelona. From 2003, she has combined her work as a teacher (in Primary and Secondary Education) and as a translator with research tasks. In 2006 she gained a pre-doctoral grant with the aim of initiating in higher education teaching and researching for her thesis, centred on terminology applied to translation. She has participated as a researcher, from 2003, in several competitive research projects and educstive innovation projects at the University of Málaga. Besides, she has been the lead researcher in two projects about learner corpora funded by UNIR. She coordinates an educative innovation project about the implementation of educative breakout in higher education classrooms. She actively participates in the research on innovative methodologies in the classroom for the acquisition of linguistic competence in foreign languages in the context of English as a foreign language (EFL) and English-Medium Instruction (EMI) in non-linguistic subjects. Author of more than thirty scientific articles and chapters published in prestigious journals and publishing houses, respectively, and has participated as a speaker in national and international conferences.
