Ángela Luque Giráldez is a Lecturer in Spanish in the Modern Languages with Translation section at Oxford Brookes University. She holds a BA in Translation and Interpreting from the University of Málaga, an MA in Specialised Translation from the University of Córdoba, and a PhD in Linguistics, Literature, and Translation (cum laude) from the University of Málaga.
She has taught at the University of Málaga as an Profesora Sustituta Interina and has undertaken teaching mobility visits at the University of Liverpool, the University of Montevideo, and Abilene Christian University.
She worked as a research assistant on the OccOr research project in the Department of Foreign Languages and Literatures at the University of Verona (Università degli Studi di Verona) and as a researcher in the Department of Language Teaching at the University of Málaga.
She regularly acts as a peer reviewer for national and international academic journals in the fields of translation and applied linguistics, and has participated in various national and international research projects as well as educational innovation initiatives.
